5) Watch

The capture quality on these is less than ideal.  I’ll try to get some better quality screen captures up as soon as I figure this capture software out.  I’m also hoping that other people will create some captures that I can put up here as well.

Initially I had these up on Vimeo (better qaulity) but they made me remove them because of their terms of service (no commercial videos), so back to Youtube for now.

Here’s how you can use envelopes and triggers to create something maybe more traditional sounding.

Playing around with some saw-tooth oscillators. This will give you an idea of how the automatic routing works.  Again the sound quality on this is pretty bad, the encoder apparently has a hard time with saw waves…

Demo patches that come installed with Jasuto.

Anyhow, these are all pretty simple patches.  I did this entire website after I submitted the app to Apple.  So I’m kinda taking it easy, I will definitely make some better demos after I have my energy back :)

I think it’s fantastic !!!!! Got the app for my touch ;-)

Maybe you could explain how you’re doing the videos, and we (users) could upload our own? It would cut down on the amount work you have to do :)

Nice app :-) Train rides will be forever enhanced!!

Try http://www.soundcloud.com or http://www.tapica.com both mostly audio sites but could be better for video streaming?? worth a look.

With some inspiration you can use the motion-feature fr creating entire pieces of music. Very nice and unique.

I’ve been lurking around synth forums, sites, etc. for years, waiting ’till the kids are older and I can spend the time in the synth realm. Your app has plunked that dream right into idle moments that otherwise would have been wasted on solitaire… Thanks!
I hope you’re lounging in big piles of money!
Lots of people are visual learners; I suspect more demo videos like these will get more people well up the learning curve of modular synths. Perhaps that venue accessible on the iPhone, with easy patch and demo video sharing will expand your customer base.
    Best of luck!

    Thanks Chris!

OK, I must really be stupid or something. Once I drop an object (synth, effect, filter) I can’t move it. WHAT am I doing or not doing.

@Joeb please post in the forum in case others have issues and so I can easily keep track of these issues.

Great Modular environment as i’ve watched the vids. Vst win32 version crashes with cubase 4 and 5 on winxp sp2 with dualcore intel.

A working vst version would be wonderfull!
im not sure yet what all options you have atm becouse i could not test it yet, but here is my wishlist:

function to maintain (32 or more) voices for Unison (detune/panspread), polyfonic playback and the use of external Midi devices to control the synth. and maybe a drumosc to create create stable drums.

    Great Instrument! Cheersss

There used to be a Mac OS9 application called CellSynth which did some (but not nearly all) of what Jasuto appears to be capable of. The developer promised an OS X version but never delivered one. I think you’ve cured my CellSynth withdrawal symptoms. Well done!
